After a humiliating experience during the SONA State of the Nation Address, where traitor F.W. De Klerk and his second wife Elita, were badly verbally abused by his own darling blacks, Nobel laureate De Klerk unexpectedly hit back this time, and believe it or not, defended Apartheid. Maybe public humiliation does work on such a person, who sold Kith, Kin and Country for Coin, and false virtue?

Once again, SA’s corrupt black majority managed to shift the spotlight from themselves, and their crimes and looting of SA, and once again beat the poor dead Apartheid donkey, blaming it for everything! The SONA speech reflected the truth of the matter – Ramaphosa, the EFF and Bantu have squandered their chance. After a quarter of a century, Bantu are still living in the past, constantly rewriting it, as they take the country even further backwards. The first impression is of a circus, where red clad laughing clowns were joyfully playing and holding up the rest of the circus from getting underway. Secondly, there was a distinct feel of a Matric Dance or Prom to the whole affair, with some very infantile overdressed children with too much money to spend, roleplaying, trying to impress themselves each other. Only, most of them never even made Matric! There was certainly no feeling at all of a solemn reflection of a deeply bankrupt country in crisis.

ANC has been accused of exploiting land expropriation without compensation issue as an electoral tool to garner votes – this political party suddenly decides land issue is urgent and must be tackled before election

ANC chief whip Jackson Mthembu has made an about-turn by announcing on Tuesday that parliament will begin the process of amending the constitution in this current term.

Mthembu was addressing the joint sitting of parliament debating President Cyril Ramaphosa’s state of the nation address.

“We are fast-tracking land reform by implementing our resolution on the expropriation of land without compensation. Parliament is already in the process of crafting a constitutional amendment to amend section 25 of the constitution to make it explicit that our constitution allows expropriation of land without compensation,” he said, opening the debate.

“An hour ago, Honourable Thoko Didiza was elected chair of the ad-hoc committee tasked with amending section 25 of the constitution. We congratulate her and wish the committee well as they embark on this historic process,” added Mthembu.

SONA: Round 3 – The Circus Returns as EFF Threaten To Remove Ramaphosa as President!

EFF chairperson Dali Mpofu on Thursday reiterated party leader Julius Malema’s warning that the red berets may disrupt President Cyril Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) on February 7.

“He must come clean before SONA, otherwise we will invoke ordinary parliamentary proceedings and have SONA converted into a presidential question-and-answer session,” Mpofu told Talk Radio 702’s breakfast host Bongani Bingwa on Thursday morning.

On Wednesday, Malema warned that “chaos could erupt again at this year’s SONA”, owing to recent corruption allegations that emerged at the commission of inquiry into state capture.

Malema warned Ramaphosa to come clean on his “dealings with facilities company Bosasa”.

The EFF leader was addressing the media at a briefing at the party’s headquarters in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

Rand recovers as US Stocks whiplash

The rand broke below 12/$ overnight as US stocks clawed back more than half their losses seen Monday.

The Zuma saga continues as today’s ANC NEC meeting along with the State of the Nation Address was postponed in order to give more time for talks between Zuma and Ramaphosa (Indicating Zuma may have one foot out “the shower” door!).

Rand slides on US inflation fears

The rand weakened overnight as a result of better than expect US Jobs numbers and wage growth released Friday, sparking fears of higher than expected US interest rate increases during 2018.

The US stock market lost 2.5% as investors cashed out to hold USD in anticipation of a Fed hike in March. The GBP/ZAR continues to flirt with the 17/£ level as a false break to 17.10/£ on Friday was given back on speculation over Zuma’s demise.
