Money Robbed from VBS Mutual Bank: detailed account of how EFF leader Julius Malema’s lifestyle, business prospects and political aspirations were funded

ONE. The lifestyle, business prospects and political aspirations of EFF president Julius Malema were funded from the R16.1-million robbed from VBS Mutual Bank and paid out to Sgameka Projects, the company of the brother of EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu, Brian.

Malema’s share of the loot was R5.3-million and it was dumped into his slush fund, Mahuna Investments. Malema spent the VBS money on clothing from Gucci and Louis Vuitton, groceries from Checkers and Woolworths, the Polokwane party venue Mekete Lodge, the house he once rented in Sandown, Johannesburg, as well as on accommodation and travel costs between EFF events. The name of his eldest son appears in the bank statements relating to school fees, and a trust named after his second son also received a small amount of VBS money. “Whites must work for blacks,” said Malema after addressing large crowd after court appearance

EFF leader Julius Malema told EFF supporters outside the Newcastle Magistrate’s Court in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday that he was craving for white people to work for black people.

Maleme briefly appeared in court on Monday on charges relating to the violation of the 1956 Riot Laws Act. He was charged with encouraging EFF members to illegally occupy open ground. Malema is accused of incitement.

This speech follows after the EFF requested its members gather outside the court where Malema would appear. Malema therefore repeatedly mentioned that he is not afraid to go to jail if it means he must fight for his country.

For someone who thrives on hate speech, racism and divisiveness, it could be catastrophic for a multicultural nation like South Africa to be led by EFF leader Julius Malema.

Going by the party’s creed and philosophy of the radical leftist Economic Freedom Fighter, if South Africa is handed over to Malema to govern, the country might go in flames.

The African National Congress (ANC) chief whip Jackson Mthembu last month criticized the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) for a series of violent incidents in the past few months, saying legal action needs to be taken.

An EFF Member of Parliament Marshall Dlamini is still facing charges after he was seen slapping a parliamentary policeman following the president’s address last week. Mthembu said at the time that there must be consequences:
