As any idiot, except the ANC it seems, knows, less shopping days means bigger queues, but the ANC prefers the stick to the carrot, as evidenced by their proposals for grudgingly relaxing their harsh alcohol sales ban. South Africa has probably the toughest Covid-19 lockdown restrictions, which are mostly ignored by the black majority, who use informal and illegal channels and sources to get what they need, while the police and army concentrate on terrorising and clamping down on the minorities. However, on June 1st, some parts of the country are set to move to level 3 of the lockdown, which may permit more liberties, including the limited sale of alcohol in Mzansi, but to avert a feared onslaught of booze buyers, retailers are proposing to treat their customers like children and make them shop in alphabetical order!

Ramaphosa thinks that lockdown is funny and jokes with some friends on a video call that he meant the lockdown will last till April 16 next year, not this year!

Meanwhile many shops have already been looted like this one in the video at Avonwood Spar in Cape Town on the 9th.

The Chaplain General of the SA National Defence Force told troops of 21 SA Infantry Battalion that they do not take orders form the SA Police, but are there to support them. This is stange as a Chaplain, why is he even addressing the troops being deployed? Chaplains are not operational personnel and the commanding office should be doing it.

 

The police and army forces have closed down many main roads, like the M1 in Johannesburg in this video, to deal with the people who are not adhering to the lockdown regulations.

EVERYONE Suffers from ANC Corruption & Looting – Water Pressure Being Cut by 20% in Three Provinces Due To Municipal Debts Caused By Corruption!

The endemic, systematic and structural way of ANC politicians looting, as if there is no tomorrow, has resulted in water shedding in 3 provinces. This typical feed-at-the-trough subsistence approach, while there are still any funds left in the bank account, has now resulted in a bulk water provider – Rand Water – cutting the water pressure to 3 municipalities in 3 provinces. Yet still it seems they just cannot work out why Verwoerd is still smiling…

Rand Water has informed 3 municipalities that they are going to cut the water pressure to them by about 20% from Monday, due to huge amounts of debt owed to them by these municipalities. This will of course result in lower pressure water coming out of taps which will also impact on  things like businesses, domestic appliances and even fire fighting efforts, due to reduced water pressure available to firefighters. High lying areas could be left without water completely.

Solidarity: Eskom is in crisis due to years of looting, mismanagement and race obsession; asking taxpayers to fund R1.8 billion in performance bonuses is wrong

Eskom is in crisis and should be treated as a crisis. The company is hopelessly bankrupt and operationally fragile due to years of looting, mismanagement and race obsession. The new CEO, André de Ruyter, has to be given comprehensive powers similar to that of a business rescue practitioner. If Eskom is not treated as if it is in business rescue, it is going to explode on itself and South Africa.

Asking in court documents that taxpayers should finance R1,8 billion in performance bonuses does not fall within a framework of crisis thinking. We did not have access to the documents, but if they ask for R1.8bn worth of performance bonuses to be financed, it is wrong. Police officers spent R5.3m on fake EFF and Fees Must Fall investigations

A pair of top officers are believed to have paid money from a crime intelligence slush fund to ‘informants’ which didn’t exist. A report in the Sunday Independent accuses top police officers of looting crime intelligence funds to the tune of R5.3 million.

The publication says an internal report shows that these officials embarked on supposed investigations into the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and Fees Must Fall movement leadership, but spent the money meant for these investigations on luxury hotels.

They also allegedly paid various amounts to non-existent “informants”.

SAPS medical scheme – R15.7 million of POLMED’s funds ‘looted’ by board of trustees

Millions of rand in alleged “unlawful looting” of the SAPS’s medical scheme POLMED have drawn the ire of scores of police officers, who have slammed the level of coverage received.

Claims are that POLMED, which covers 680,000 members and beneficiaries, has “unlawfully” awarded roughly R15.7 million to its BOT (board of trustees) over three years in alleged contravention of its own rules.

Allegations are also that former National Police Commissioner General, Riah Phiyega, was “illegally” elected on to the BOT in contravention of Rule 18.9.9, which states: “Any person removed from an office of trust on account of misconduct should not serve on it.”

According to rule 18.24, Polmed remuneration should be determined by the scheme’s AGM (annual general meeting) and not by the CMS (Council of Medical Schemes).

By Polmed’s own admission, the scheme hasn’t held an AGM since 2015, with questions being raised
