City Council of Pretoria will replace 13,000 prepaid power meters in the next 4 months after it has been found that PEU Capital Partners’ meters are not valid

The city council of Pretoria wants to replace 13,000 controversial electric meters, and for that they apparently have only four months to do.

The 13,000 prepaid meters have to be replaced by a court decision since the council has entered into an invalid contract and the so called meter is also believed to be illegal devices.

Many workers now have to move through certain areas’ as well as building buildings to find out if the meters in the buildings are legal, as the PEU Capital Partners meters are not valid.

This means that the multi-billion daily payments made by the city to PEU in terms of the contract which are considered unfordable, will also come to an end.

There is uncertainty that is responsible for the cost of replacing the meters, and whether it is the innocent consumer who has to pay for it.

SA Citizen whom is in possession of a green ID booklet must take late mother to Department of Home Affairs otherwise he is recorded as illegal immigrant

The 45-year-old Robert Masuku has been voting in the elections since 1994, but now a new turn has taken place.

The Department of Home Affairs informed him that he had to bring his late mother because otherwise he will be considered as an illegal immigrant.

If his late mother does not come, he cannot get a new ID document, said the department official.

When he took his daughter to the Department’s Mamelodi office last year to get an ID document because she was 18, the official informed him that he was on record as an illegal immigrant.

He was born in Nelspruit and has a green ID book, but no, he is illegal in the country unless he brings his late mother to the office.

TUT’s nine campuses across the country are still closed due to violent protests by black disadvantaged students who apparently cannot study on empty stomachs

Academic programs were discontinued at all Tshwane University of Technology campuses and students were ordered to vacate residences.

Residence property has been damaged in the past and recovery costs have not yet been calculated.

Fears exist for student and staff safety. According to TUT’s Willa de Ruyter, the situation at campuses is unpredictable and flammable. The Young Communist League considers the decision of TUT to be a confirmation that challenges and demands of previously historic black disadvantaged students are being overlooked.

Students insist that the National Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) provides their grants for food, especially for those students who do not live on campus, while also insisting on more accommodation.

The police used shock grenades on Monday to dismiss the students who moved to the office of Higher Education Minister Naledi Pandor in Pretoria.

Motorists in SA now have to fill the bankrupt ANC regime’s treasury – 60% of fuel price consists of taxes and levies

Almost 60% of the fuel price and taxes now goes towards the bankrupt ANC regime’s treasury.

According to observers, tax has skyrocketed since 2008 when the fixed tax was R1.76 versus the R 5.63 currently applicable.

That’s a 220% increase! With the 29 cents increase coming over the next two months, the percentage is even higher.

Motorists are currently paying R8.64 to government for every liter of fuel they buy.

Suid-Afrika se gesondheidsektor het tans ’n landswye tekort aan lewensnoodsaaklike entstof wat voorkomend is vir Witseerkeel asook ’n entstof ter voorkoming van klem in die kaak.

Die tekort het ouers nie net gefrustreerd gelaat nie, maar veroorsaak woede en angs omdat hul geliefdes se algehele toestand bedreig word.

Die tekort aan die entstof is ’n ernstige bedreiging vir kinders se gesondheidstoestand en kan lei tot sterftes wat voorkom kon word.

Die mense in afgeleë gebiede moet dikwels lang afstand te voet aflê na klinieke waar hulle die voorkomende entstof kry vir hulle kinders, en word nou woedend omdat hulle telkens aangesê word om maar weer later te kom.

Dit blyk egter dat die tekort nie by verskaffers is nie, maar by die owerhede wat nalatig is om betyds hulle voorraad aan te vul.

ANC government neglected to replenish stockpile of vital vaccine on time, now SA has to cope with nationwide shortage – children’s health conditions are now under threat

South Africa’s health sector currently has a nationwide shortage of a vital vaccine that is used for the prevention of diphtheria as well as a vaccine to prevent tetanus.

The shortage not only left parents frustrated, but caused anger and anxiety because their loved one’s overall condition was threatened.

The shortfall of vaccine is a serious threat to children’s health and can lead to deaths that could be prevented.

The people in remote areas often have to travel long distances to clinics where they get the preventive vaccine for their children, and now they are apparently become outraged because they are repeatedly told to come later.

However, it appears that the shortage is not with suppliers, but with the authorities negligence to replenish their stock in time.

White Farmer Seeks Asylum with His Family at the US Border with Mexico – First in South African History

While South Africa is a troubled country in turmoil, few are aware that the fear white South Africans live in, has reached beyond our borders. A white South African farmer and his family asked for asylum at the US border with Mexico.

They were kept at a Mexican holding for three weeks for protection before meeting with the US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP). They have undergone extensive grilling and interviews. They had to do a credible fear test, which they passed. That is right, their fear is real.

The white farmer has a minor daughter that was interviewed without the presence of her parents. Currently, the family resides with friends in the US after the US Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) concluded the family could apply for asylum. The United States authorities concluded that the South Africans has done everything correctly in their attempt to safeguard themselves against the threat against their lives from South Africa

Transnet wants to keep R2,5bn Gupta contract after High Court ordered contract to be cancelled – Wonder water favours and gifts are at stake here?

Transnet intends to disregard the High Court’s court order which ruled that a R2.5 billion contract awarded to T-Systems should be cancelled.

The court ruled that the contract should be granted to Gijima Holdings. Transnet has made no effort to comply with the court order and aims to extend T-Systems’ contract for another 12 to 24 months.

It is not known whether Gijima Holdings will serve Transnet’s actions and whether they will approach the court again.

“Law of the jungle” should no longer be a rule in ANC, expresses Trevor Manuel after voicing his frustration about poor leadership of -ANC comrades in parliament

The former finance minister, Trevor Manuel, expressed his frustration of the poor leadership of parliamentarians.

He requested senior ANC members to teach current ANC leaders to do their job better.

He reckons that the “law of the jungle” should no longer be a rule and that people should be taught what a balance sheet is and what the figures in the state mean.

Someone who addresses other people as “comrades” cannot just sit in parliament and get away with doing absolutely nothing, Manuel said.

Municipal workers sleeping and not working all day in Krugersdorp? – It’s been reported that municipal workers arrive every day just to lie or sit around, making more waste than they actually clean UP

Long grass and unkempt sidewalks don’t seem all that unusual in Krugersdorp. But, municipal workers are rarely seen cutting grass, trimming bushes and removing trash from public grounds.

And when you do see them working around town, the last thing you’d expect is to find them sleeping or socialising on the job.

The News received reports of municipal workers slacking off and decided to investigate.

At about 11.30am on Friday, 22 February, no less than 12 municipal workers in overalls were lying in the shade on the sidewalk between Viljoen Street and Key West Shopping Centre.

Two car guards at the shopping centre, Chris du Plessis and Willie Pretorius, said they saw them being dropped off there every morning at around 8am, and they got picked up again by 3pm. This, they said, has been happening on and off for over a year, and has happened four times this week.
