All hell broke loose at the Butterworth campus of Walter Sisulu University.

Students clashed with security personnel and police, which led to the campus being closed for an indefinite period.

Hundreds of students are out of town and will probably have to return to their parents’ homes.

A university spokesman apparently said the student left the impression that they were not really there to acquire and study knowledge, but rather to create unrest and make the campus ungovernable.

Former Mineral Resources Minister was dismissed by the ANC regime so that Gupta candidate could fill the post to make corruption and state capture possible at Eskom

The Guptas have been helped to buy the Optimum mine through a pre-payment of R659m by Eskom, said Glencore’s former head Clinton Ephron.

Eskom’s fingers were further in the negotiations by fining Optimum Coal with R2.1bn for so-called low-grade coal supply.

This forced Optimum Coal to go into business rescue. The rumours are that Eskom has not charged any fines against Tegeta’s Brakfontein mine for their low-grade coal supply.

Ngoako Ramatlhodi was dismissed as Minister of Mining and replaced the Gupta candidate Mosebenzi Zwani.

Dipuo Thobejane is the mayor of the Maruleng Municipality who has now damaged the third vehicle, and this time quite a vehicle that an insurance company donated to her.

The previous two accidents, which have been in the past two months, are equally reckless and incomprehensible, but observers are uncertain whether she has a proper driving license.

Prasa head suddenly resigns after only 9 months and his resignation comes as a shock to the SA business sector

The Chief Executive Officer of Passenger Rail Agency of SA (Prasa), suddenly handed over his resignation to the Board, and his resignation apparently means his immediate retirement.

Sibusiso Sithole’s resignation came just nine months after being appointed to the post, and the unexpected resignation raised many eyebrows in the business sector.

The Board of Directors confirmed that the resignation was received and accepted by the Board.

Sithole was appointed last year in place of Mthuthuzeli Swartz.

SAPS rotten with corruption, even members in top ranks are criminals and offenders – Former police commissioner arrested on charges of fraud

Khomotso Phahlane, the former acting police commissioner, appeared in the specialized trade crime court in Johannesburg.

He and police chief of supply management, Ravichandran Pillay, were arrested on fraud charges.

They therefore stand with former Gauteng police commissioner Deliwede Lange and officials Vimpie Phineas Manthata, Ramahlapi Johannes Mokwena, James Ramanjalum and Nombhuruza Napo on charges of alleged fraud of more than R80 million.

Phahlane dismisses the case as attempts by Robert McBride and OPOD to improve McBride’s image while McBride himself is accused of corruption.

The Soshanguve campus of the Tshwane University of Technology had to be closed yet again due to unreasonable and unselfish conduct of students.

Accommodation and food allowance claims are some of the reasons for the protest. The Student Representative Council’s chairperson has declared that they will close all campuses until their demands are met.

Former minister Ben Schoeman asked whether people want to eat or fly – the students apparently want to have accommodation and eat – studies are secondary.

The ANC’s “policy” to make the country ungovernable is producing vigorous fruit.

The Abuqulusi municipality (Vryheid) owes Eskom just short of R50 million. Widespread corruption and mismanagement caused the council to be placed under administration.

Suddenly, the Natal Department of Co-operative Awakened Government and Traditional Affairs and stated that they were “stunned” about the state of the municipality.

Gordhan hires 11 “specialists” to tend to Eskom’s problem, however the unplanned rolling blackouts is largely due to inexperienced staff in-service, and lacking the ability to do the work according to requirements.

Minister Pravin Gordhan has appointed eleven industry specialists as the “Eskom Technical Review Team”.

The coordinator is Dr Tsakani Mthombeni, chair of the Energy Intensive Consumer Group, and he also serves on Ramaphosa’s “Sustainable” Eskom Task Team.

The team must investigate unplanned maintenance outages that are not applied to a scheduled system.

Operators errors that cause units to turn off unplanned, technical and other operator related issues that prevent units from functioning effectively form part of what needs to be investigated.

It’s nothing to be proud of, but South Africa is one of the six countries in the world that has the most drinkers.

The nation is sixth on the list of the most alcohol consumers in the world, this achievement was made in 2018 according to a survey of the World Health Organization of the United Nations.

What makes it more repugnant is that the nation has been drinking so much in the past year that they are described as “heavy drinkers”.

According to the latest data, the country’s average drinker consumes about 30 liters of alcohol, placing it in sixth place on the world rankings.

Experts point out that the bad drinking habits are the cause of many daily murders, the hundreds of fatal road accidents, and are also responsible for the rapes and robberies carried out by the “brave” drinkers.
