Eskom and SA are paying an expensive price for ANC’s Affirmative Action Policy – white experienced and knowledgeable engineers are missing from the state entity and now experts have to come from abroad to save Eskom

Eskom and the government’s unwavering attitude to applying Affirmative Action (RA) is now costing South Africa. Due to RA, experienced and knowledgeable engineers have left Eskom and now the Minister of Public Enterprises, Mr. Pravin Gordhan, are asking them to help save Eskom.

The Freedom Front Plus has long warned that RA is harmful to Eskom, but also to South Africa. The concern has already emerged from a parliamentary question in 2011 by the leader of the Freedom Front Plus, dr. Pieter Groenewald, to the Minister of Public Enterprises, about the number of engineers, artisans and technicians who left Eskom.

According to the minister’s reply, from 2008 to March 2011, 455 engineers, of whom 110 were white, resigned from Eskom, and 13 were retired, 11 of whom were white. In the same period, 342 technicians resigned and 38 retired. (See attached reply from minister).

Biggest technical training university in SA is on the verge of collapse due to chaos and corruption

The Minister of Education and Authorities was asked to investigate allegations of fraud, death threats, corruption and nepotism at the Vaal University of Technology (VUT).

VUT is currently one of the largest technical training universities in the country with 20,000 students.

Allegations of conflict between high-ranking officials have long been made in press reports.

According to reports, the institution is on the verge of collapse due to large-scale financial plundering. The previous Vice-Chancellor, Mpho Diago, resigned this week amid death threats over his alleged “whistle-blowing” around corruption and mismanagement.

During the ANC regime, roughly R500 billion has been looted by Eskom contractors, which partly explains why South Africa is in such a big financial mess – it is unsure if the culprits will be brought to justice

A Special Investigation Unit is currently investigation more than eleven contractors whom are suspected of robbing the power utility of billions of rand.

The contractors looted R130 billion from Eskom during the construction of the two new power stations, Medupi and Kusile as well as the Ingula power station.

From the so-called “inner circles” it is claimed that plundering at Eskom has been taken place since 2005, which partly explains why South Africa has ended up in a financial mess.

A spokesman said Eskom had been robbed of R170bn, of which R130bn was directly related to so-called contractors working at the different power plants.

Investigation is now being done to determine who has committed theft, and who worked within Eskom to benefit the thieves.

It’s no secret anymore that high ranking ANC members are involved in the huge corruption and fraud that SA’s economy is currently suffering from

News highlights over the past year are increasingly seized by reports of high-ranking ANC supporters and government members involved, or suspended, or redeployed.

Every violation is due to misconduct, bribery and sexual harassment. Zuma and the Guptas were among the main role players.

The latest case is known as the ANC’s acting spokesperson, Zizi Kodwa, accused of rape by the ANC.

It only follows a week after Pile Mabe was found innocent by the ANC of sexual harassment, which is to many opinion makers’ expectations.

The ANC has referred the charge against Kodwa to law enforcement officers as the matter is “private”.

It could not be confirmed whether the complainant is also an ANC member. Kodwa is stating that the charges made against  him is done to political manipulate him and as well as an attempt of extortion.

Die Gautengse departement van gesondheid sal waarskynlik ’n reddingsboei moet kry, waarsku die DA.

Jack Bloom, DA-woordvoerder oor gesondheid in Gauteng, sê dr. Gwen Ramokgopa, Gautengse LUR vir gesondheid, het verlede week bevestig die departement is sowat R5 miljard in die rooi.

Bloom het haar op ’n vergadering van die Gautengse wetgewer se gesondheidskomitee oor die departement se skuldlas uitgevra. Die departement het R1 miljard oorbestee en sy skuldlas staan op R4 miljard, sê die DA in ’n verklaring.

Thabo Masebe, woordvoerder van die Gautengse regering, erken “daar is probleme by die departement”.

“Ek verseker jou egter dat die regering wel die probleem hanteer. Ons gee ons volle aandag hieraan.”

Die stabilisering van die departement is volgens hom nie net vir die provinsiale regering ’n topprioriteit nie, maar ook vir dr. Aaron Motsoaledi, minister van gesondheid, en selfs vir pres. Cyril Ramaphosa.

Old SA flag is not a symbol of a crime against humanity and to ban it will infringe South Africans’ right to freedom of expression

The Nelson Mandela Foundation announced on Monday that its case regarding the old South African flag for hate speech, unfair discrimination and harassment would be heard in the Equity Court in April.

The case will be heard during the 29th and 30th of April. This comes after the foundation approached the court last March with the request to declare the use and exhibition of the old South African flag for hate speech, unfair discrimination and harassment based on race.

In addition, it said during a statement that it was time to admit that the old South African flag is a symbol of a crime against humanity and that the exhibition is humiliating black South Africans and promoting crime.

The statement supports the following: “It is important that the Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Promotion Act be used as a tool to discourage such behavior.”

“Whites must work for blacks,” said Malema after addressing large crowd after court appearance

EFF leader Julius Malema told EFF supporters outside the Newcastle Magistrate’s Court in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday that he was craving for white people to work for black people.

Maleme briefly appeared in court on Monday on charges relating to the violation of the 1956 Riot Laws Act. He was charged with encouraging EFF members to illegally occupy open ground. Malema is accused of incitement.

This speech follows after the EFF requested its members gather outside the court where Malema would appear. Malema therefore repeatedly mentioned that he is not afraid to go to jail if it means he must fight for his country.

The petrol price increase in March is expected to shock South Africans, with a hefty hike eclipsing original estimates.

It seems likely that rolling petrol price increases, last experienced in the latter half of 2018, are expected to make a dubious return this year – starting next month. While first estimates, released by the Central Energy Fund (CEF) earlier in the month, proposed a hike of 43 cents per litre for petrol and 60 cents per litre for diesel, recent revelations paint a grim picture for South Africans.

ANC regime certainly did not do proper planning – Multi-million rand project undertaken by China in Northern Transvaal is being put on hold due to water shortage, compromising thousands of jobs

The planned economic investment in the Far North Transvaal undertaken by China may be affected by a severe shortage of water.

This project, which will amount to R150 billion, will provide thousands of jobs, but may be delayed due to a severe shortage of water.

The area where the project is in the identified zone requires a total of 123 million cubic meters of water per year for the Musina area.

Mining operations, together with the establishment of a power station, various agricultural crop plantations, and a silicone plant form part of the project, which provides for approximately 21,000 jobs.

However, experts argue that the project can only be sustainable if provision is made in time for storage dams for enough water.

Pretoria’s main magistrate, Desmond Nair, has been silent for weeks after allegations were made that he benefited from the security upgrade of his home, thanks to Bosasa.

The Magistrate Commission, which met on February 22, decided to give the suspicious magistrate the opportunity to respond to the allegations that he had made improvements of about R200,000 in security equipment at his home with Bosasa’s “help .

A Bosasa official, Richard le Roux, testified before the Zondo Commission, but the chief magistrate has not yet spoken a word about the allegation.
